Instructions for End of Century Project
You are going to build a tri-fold project board.
Your board is due on May 15th. Late work:  10% will be deducted from your project grade each day that it is late.  If you are sick, your board should still be delivered to school on May 15th.
Boards must be clearly labeled with the name and hour of the student.  Boards not labeled will have 10% deducted from the overall grade.
You have been assigned a topic for your board. You will have most class times from now until May 15th to research that topic. You will also be allowed to work on and assemble your board in class, Mrs. Rabiola, however,  assumes no liability for any materials or boards that are left in her class from now until May 15th.
Your Board should have the following items
A title:                It must be appropriate for the topic, and must be displayed clearly for
                        the viewer

An illustration:        This could be a photograph, or a drawing or painting, must be captioned, the board’s citation box must include the source of the illustration, you may include more than one, but one is required, and the board should not be a hodge-podge collage of images

Text:   You must write an appropriate amount of text for your board and your topic. Text must be 16 font or LARGER so that it is easily readable at a distance, text should not overwhelm the viewer, 2 8.5 x 11 pages should be your guide, more text than that risks a deduction in points, less text than that is not sufficient for the assigned topics. Text MUST be appropriately paraphrased from your sources; it also MUST be properly cited.

A Citation box: You must have a box on the board that properly cites all of the sources of your
information

A quotation:            You must have a direct, word for word, quotation somewhere on your project
board. Primary sources are important; let your subject tell their own story.

Appearance and Neatness: Your board must be “Museum” quality. You cannot write directly on the
board, you cannot randomly cut and paste things off the internet, you must think about an appropriate style and theme for your board and be consistent in your use of color, style, layout and all other details. Your board must be free of mistakes in facts, spelling, and grammar.

Please consult the attached rubric and make sure you have achieved points in all of the possible areas.
